Leadership and Direction
The Harbour is the vision of Dr. Robbie Campbell, President, and Founder of the Eating Disorders Foundation of Canada (1997). Â Throughout his medical career as a psychiatrist, he has championed better treatment and support for those with eating disorders. Dr. Campbell is a Professor Emeritus, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. Â In 2022 he received an Honorary Doctor of Science from Western University for his pioneering work with both eating disorders and telemedicine.
Dr. Robbie Campbell provides overall direction as The Harbour’s Chief Medical Officer.  His vast experience as a practicing psychiatrist will ensure that the project operates using a comprehensive model of care for young adults based on the sound appreciation of the underlying mental health components of eating disorders.   Moreover, it is the objective of EDFC to develop The Harbour as a demonstration project, supported by independent research, with a goal of transferring its model to affiliated Chapters in our communities in Ontario and Canada.
As Founder & President of the Eating Disorders Foundation of Canada, Dr. Robbie Campbell, MD, FRCPC, has worked with the treatment, recovery/relapse and research of anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorders for over 40 years.
