Our Treatment Program
The Harbour is an outpatient eating disorder clinic that supports Western and Fanshawe students, as well as young adults in the surrounding London area. We provide compassionate, and evidence-based care to those living with disordered eating and struggling with body image, and self-worth.
In order to provide treatment to those who are most vulnerable, and to fill a service gap, Dr. Robbie Campbell opened The Harbour in November 2024. The Harbour is a multidisciplinary clinic located at Western Research Park and offers a four-month community-based program allowing those who require care, an opportunity to continue working, attending post-secondary education and being productive in their day-to-day lives.
Participating in the Four-Month Harbour Program consists of:
- Referral from a Medical Health Care Provider – Family Doctor, Family Health Team, Nurse Practitioner, or Student Health Services located at Western University and Fanshawe College.
- Initial intake with a Registered Nurse or Psychiatrist
- Psychiatric consultation with Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Robbie Campbell (OHIP funded)
- Individualized appointments and recommended treatment Plan
- Medication monitoring by program psychiatrist
- Ongoing recovery management and follow-ups (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) based around your schedule and availability.
- Dietician support
- Group programming (optional)
- Referral to professional counselling services
Initial assessments will include a psychiatric consultation regarding eating disorder and comorbid mental health disorder symptoms, a complete intake evaluation to determine an individualized plan for treatment and a recommended plan for ongoing recovery management. The practitioners and medical team will work with you to treat the many complications of eating disorders and comorbid affiliates, such as anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, Substance Use, and other mental health conditions.
The treatment team at the Harbour consists of a number of contracted professionals in the various disciplines of; psychiatry, registered nurse, dieticians, therapists, and a full support team. Private therapy may be possible, and these sessions are unique to each individual’s needs. Group sessions are available for those who would like additional support.
Scheduled appointments are created around work commitments and the post-secondary school schedule to allow flexibility to continue attendance in courses and still receive treatment.
Your healing process is uniquely yours. Identifying the support available to you is the first step. Reach out to connect with our professional team, learn about resources available, and attend support groups to find your path to recovery.
The Harbour’s treatment is effective, cost efficient, and available when you need it. The community-based program also reduces the burden on the hospital health-care systems, does not have lengthy wait times, and is provided with compassion and care.
